Why Choose Davis In-Home Care?

Not all care services are alike. There is a Davis difference! Below are 12 reasons families chose Davis for in-home care to help their loved ones remain at home.

1. 15 years of experience

We opened in 2010 and will celebrate our 15-year anniversary in 2025. Through our years of experience, we’ve built a solid team of caregivers and an experienced management team. Whatever your needs or condition, we’ve probably helped someone with similar care needs before. We’d love to use our experience to help you too!

2. Quality caregivers

We pride ourselves on providing the most committed, qualified and caring people in the industry. All our caregivers are thoroughly screened, background-checked, trained and insured. We only hire people with experience, then we give them additional training, including our exclusive Certified Companion Aid (CCA) program. The benefit to our clients is compassionate caregivers with good skills and good character.

3. Licensed, bonded and insured caregivers

Davis In-Home Care, Inc. is licensed by the state and all of our caregivers are registered with the state. They are all employees of the company, so we provide worker’s compensation and liability insurance, bonding, and handle their payroll taxes.  The benefit to our clients is they are protected if anything happens to their caregiver during care.

4. Locally owned and operated

We know the community because we live and work in the community. We are independently owned and locally operated. We don’t have to satisfy a corporate office somewhere, so we can focus on doing what’s best for our clients. You are our top priority!

5. A team that “goes the extra mile” for you

When thinking about care, people typically focus on the caregiver. However, the team that supervises the care is also important. I started Davis In-Home Care because of my personal experience caring for family members and my desire to help others facing similar challenges. I still treat every client as though I were helping a family member. Our office staff shares my commitment and also “goes the extra mile” to help our clients. In short, we provide care with a personal touch that is rare in this business.

6. We work for you before care starts

Before care begins, we personally meet with you to conduct a thorough assessment of your needs and wishes. From the assessment, we write a Care Plan tailored to you. We use the Care Plan to choose a caregiver who will be a good fit. Then we brief the caregiver ahead of time so they arrive ready to start helping. And we accompany our caregiver on the first visit and personally introduce him/her to you. Contrast this with agencies that send a caregiver alone who knocks on your door and asks, “What do you want me to do?” Our process requires extra effort on our part, but it provides a smooth and easy start of care for our clients.

7. We provide continuity of care

We work with you to create your ideal schedule, then assign a regular caregiver to your shifts. This helps you and your caregiver get to know each other and build a good rapport. It sounds simple to us. Yet, some care companies constantly send different caregivers to the same shift. That can be a headache and frustration for clients. We think our continuity of care results in better care and makes things easier for you.

8. We closely monitor your care

After service begins, we promptly check in with you for feedback on your care and caregiver. We also monitor your care online to ensure your caregiver arrives as scheduled. And we conduct periodic check-ins with you by phone or in-person visits. We do it all to make sure you’re getting the help you need and are happy with your caregiver.

9. Flexible schedules

We tailor your schedule to fit your needs. We help people in four-hour shifts, round-the-clock care, and everything in between. We provide on-going care for long-term needs as well as short-term care for temporary needs. We can also increase or decrease your schedule when your care needs change. We know life isn’t always predictable, so we strive to accommodate your changing needs.

10. Substitute caregivers provided

If your regular caregiver is sick or unable to work, we can typically provide a fully qualified replacement. We’ll also brief them on your Care Plan ahead of time, so they arrive ready to start assisting you.

11. Satisfaction guaranteed

We have a great track record of providing a great caregiver right from the start. But if for some reason you wish to make a change, we’ll provide a replacement caregiver.

12. Strict Covid-19 precautions

Since the pandemic began, we have followed Covid-19 recommendations from the CDC and state and local agencies. We have educated our caregivers on Covid-19 symptoms, infection prevention, PPE protocols and more. We have added courses on Covid-19 to our training and monitor current Covid-19 recommendations. We feel our efforts have paid off because as of this writing (Dec. 2024) we have had no clients who got Covid-19 as a result of our service.
